  10.        The Silicon Graphics Image Format Library (IFL) 1.1.1
  11.        Execution environment is an optional subsystem that provides
  12.        support for opening, reading, writing and creating image
  13.        files in a format independent manner.  IFL 1.1.1 includes
  14.        support for the TIFF, PNG, GIF, JFIF(JPEG), SGI, PPM, Photo
  15.        CD, Alias, SOFTIMAGE, YUV, FIT and raw file formats.

  17.        IFL Execution environment software consists of a primary
  18.        library for C++ as well as a supporting library for C based
  19.        applications.  Additionally, a set of libraries used for
  20.        supporting several file formats are included in the ifl_eoe
  21.        subsystems.

  23.        Important note: for backwards compatibility, the IFL 1.0
  24.               libraries are included in the ImageVision Library
  25.               1.1.1 release. This allows applications linked with
  26.               IFL release 1.0 to continue to run. However, to take
  27.               advantage of new formats and bugs fixed since the IFL
  28.               1.0 release, you must recompile and relink against
  29.               the IFL 1.1.1 libraries.  IFL 1.1.1 is binary
  30.               compatible with IFL release 1.1.

  84.        _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
