-
- The Silicon Graphics Image Format Library (IFL) 1.1.1
- Execution environment is an optional subsystem that provides
- support for opening, reading, writing and creating image
- files in a format independent manner. IFL 1.1.1 includes
- support for the TIFF, PNG, GIF, JFIF(JPEG), SGI, PPM, Photo
- CD, Alias, SOFTIMAGE, YUV, FIT and raw file formats.
-
- IFL Execution environment software consists of a primary
- library for C++ as well as a supporting library for C based
- applications. Additionally, a set of libraries used for
- supporting several file formats are included in the ifl_eoe
- subsystems.
-
- Important note: for backwards compatibility, the IFL 1.0
- libraries are included in the ImageVision Library
- 1.1.1 release. This allows applications linked with
- IFL release 1.0 to continue to run. However, to take
- advantage of new formats and bugs fixed since the IFL
- 1.0 release, you must recompile and relink against
- the IFL 1.1.1 libraries. IFL 1.1.1 is binary
- compatible with IFL release 1.1.
